Eye update Nov 28th

Well I got 2 more size/shapes so to date what sizes i have and shape are:

Regular round iris:

4.5mm

6mm

9mm

10.5mm

 

Cat eyes

9mm

12mm

 

I also went to the craft store on Friday and got more colors for the eyes.

I’m going to have a few different lines where colors go

I’ll have:

Regular colors

Glitter colors

Metallic  colors

and

Glow in the dark colors

 

I’m working on getting one set of each size/shape in each color I have then I’m going to take pictures of each and post them here, my DA, and post sales on my Etsy!

Should be able to do them with in the next week or two (hopefully at least that’s my goal )

 

Caribbean Blue

Love that song haha.

Here is the first Eye post of actual eyes .  This Caribbean blue color looks stunning against black (I’m working on a penguin which will be receiving a pair of this color) and on white yarn too, though they look great on many other colors as well. They are so bright it’s amazing the picture really doesn’t do them justice. You won’t be disappointed. The coloring while it will come off if you scratch at the back of it (and i mean really scratch at like with the intention of taking the color off otherwise you won’t have to worry about it)  will stay perfect and true while in they plush toy or amigurumi you use it in. I’ve painted these for my self for some time and I have amigurumi that I have put a pair of these eyes in 4 years ago and they look just as good now as they did then.

Those are 9mm regular safety eyes. Once i get other sizes and shape finished I’ll add the pictures of them on this post ^_^

Delayed order lol

Well I did get them way back when and I did even paint some but then life got hectic I was taking care of a baby living in a tiny little room in my inlaws house and frankly not in the mood to go through all the trouble it would have been to do any art or crafts back then. But now I’m FREE! LOL but no really I have My own apartment and Anya is getting bigger now enough for me to have some time to work while she plays on her own. I have a HUGE desk decked out with all my craft stuff and and I’m really in the mood to create and get on with my life

So look forward to Eyes, eyes, and more eyes! I’ll be putting pictures here in new posts as I get them colored and finished and Will have all the pictures posted on my DA as well if you want to see them all without having to scroll through a 100 posts lol. I’ll be selling them in losts of 5, 10, and 15 on my etsy (price yet to be determined (have to do all the math)) however if you want only 2 or if you want 50 I’ll take custom amount orders. You will be able to choose what colors you want when you order, I’ll have a certain amount of each color finished however I’ll mostly be painting them to order so will take a day or 2 from the time you order to the time I mail them.

A New Order

lol sounds like some secret society thing lol But in reality I’ve just ordered a new batch of eyes. I have 9mm and 12mm Cat eyes and 6mm and 9mm regular round eyes coming and they will probably get here by the end of next week if not sooner. I’ll be painting most of them asap and getting pictures (using my awesome new lamp) posted here and my DA right after. So if you need some pretty eyes or know someone who does send them here

The prices for my eyes are a little more then one seller I know however I do know she doesn’t paint them herself, just buys that color bulk and repackages them, However on the other end they are not as much as another seller I know because I think $1.45 plus for one pair is crazy.  I do paint them all myself and seal them they are painted with acrylic red barrel paint not nail polish or markers so when you put a pair of blue eyes on yellow fabric/yarn the stay blue not turn green. They are all very pretty bright true colors, and then there will be some with designs. All my eyes come with the metal washers and I even take the time to file down the ends of the eye shank so it’s not all jagged and sharp (I hurt myself once on that and don’t want anyone to encounter the same problem).

I have a lot of ideas for painting them and getting different effects but I’m always up for new ideas So if you have an idea and want to share it with me and want to me to try it out let me know.

What you need to know

Well for all of my amirugumi I use safety eyes (I know they have a lot of different names). The eyes I use are all painted by me and I’ll probably be getting a new batch to paint soon. When I do I’m going to be doing some experimenting and will post pictures of them here. I’ll also be posting what eyes I have ready to sell if your interested.

I’ll be starting with one size but regular round ones and cat eyes. If I need them or I sell a lot or get a lot of requests for a different size I’ll get some paint them and post those as well. I have an etsy but I don’t like using it very much I also don’t have  a reliable internet access (long stupid story full of idiots) so I can’t check it every day or even every other day.

I’m always up for new ideas and comments about my eyes *wink* so if you have any let me know
